HS Marston Aerospace Limited, Wobaston Road, Fordhouses, Wolverhampton, WV10 6QJPosition summary: The Supply Chain Purchasing Lead (hereafter known as SCPL) will lead all appropriate commercial projects, be they production or non-production supporting all purchasing activities (end to end) to ensure all Quality, Cost and Delivery targets are achieved in align with business requirements without jeopardising product availability.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Materials & Supply Chain, working closely with the Supply Chain Commodity Team Leader and the Commodity Project Leader, the SCPL will ensure all commercial aspects of procurement are managed through an end to end process.
These include:
o Lead and conclude commercial negotiations covering all proposed Long Term Agreements/ Supply Agreements with strategic and core suppliers.
o Responsible to ensure Purchase Price Variance saving targets are achieved year on year.
o Working with the cross functional team to define and deliver saving opportunities – Re-negotiation / Value Added & Value Engineering Opportunities, cost avoidance, business improvement projects etc.
o Manage and deliver contract review process purchasing requirements against defined Service Level Agreement. This includes agreeing requirements with Business Development, analyse data, release & close out RFQs and complete the procurement matrix for all remaining updated costs, MOQs and lead-times.
o Manage and deliver B&O process purchasing requirements against defined Service Level Agreement. This includes reviewing the daily reports, analyse data, release & close out RFQs and complete the procurement matrix for all remaining updated costs, MOQs and lead-times.
o Working with strategic and core suppliers to ensure there is sufficient capacity – production/pre-production and technical capabilities are in place to ensure all business requirements are met.
o To develop supplier rationalization strategy, in order to reduce number of low value suppliers for both production and non-production activities.
o To develop commodity & supplier strategy for production and non production expenditure.
o To instigate business improvements projects including:
 Improving in-house special processes capacity by reducing the amount of external suppliers using HSM capacity.
 To implement the increased usage of kitting, in order to reduce the number of low value/ low critical parts to HSM.
 Financially assess strategic and core suppliers to ensure business risk is minimized on an ongoing basis.
 Projects include but not exclusively non production and service total cost saving activities.
o Working with the Supply Chain and QualityTeams to ensure supplier PPM targets are achieved on a consistent basis.
o Working with the Supply Chain Team to ensure supplier arrears are minimized and OTD targets are achieved on a consistent basis.
o Support the Source Change process when required working with the Commodity Project Leader to deliver key supply chain objectives.
o Support the NPI process by ensuring full RFQs are released and targets are achieved in align with our SLA and business requirements.
o Understand and agree Stakeholder Requirements for proposed change.

Additional Responsibilities
Working closely with the Purchasing & Supply Chain team to ensure consistency of approach and best practice implementation.
Utilize the ACE/Core tools and methodology to increase efficiency and reduce costs and create a continuous improvement culture.

Key Skills:
Good understanding of Purchasing and Supply Chain, Stakeholder and Project Management.
Strong negotiating skills.
Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability and awareness to understand and contribute to technical aspects of commodity management.
Good understanding of lean techniques with the ability to advise and appraise suppliers.
Ability to travel to meet and manage suppliers.
Certified by MCIPS or similar
Good skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc
Good knowledge of MRP systems and specifically SAP.

This position may involve access to export controlled information and hardware where an export license would be required for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
