Senior Security Engineer/Analyst

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Security Engineer for a successful business based in Bromsgrove. The Senior Security Engineer will lead the activities of the Security Team within the wider Infrastructure & Security department and define security controls and operating procedures, overseeing the running of both a controlled server environment and internal infrastructure.

The Senior Security Engineer will always ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC2 standards, as well as oversee all security related activities such as internal and external vulnerability scans, audits and remediation. You will implement security related projects to agreed timescales, minimising risk and downtime to Customer and internal systems, providing security related guidance and assistance to other teams including Development, Infrastructure and Project Delivery. You will engage in presales activities, as well as define and follow procedures including Change Control, Access Control & IT Operations, while keeping up to date with developments in security trends, threats and control measures, both technical and procedural.

It is essential that the Senior Security Engineer has experience with the following; Compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2 & Cyber Essentials Plus. Securing Azure hosted environments, Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory including Group Policy & Domain Trusts. Security and administration of Office 365 and m monitoring systems such as SIEM. Firewall configuration and network security, encryption fundamentals, installation and management of Anti-Virus and Web Security products.
