Your new role

In your new role working as a Professional Risks Claims Handler, you will be handling a wide range of Professional Risks Claims including Professional Indemnity, Management Liability, Employers Liability as well as some Medmal and Cyber. In your new role you will be assisting the insured in presenting their claim to insurers, assessing available cover and whether the circumstance meets the notification threshold from cradle to grave and ensuring that claims exposures are recognized and that claims are promptly evaluated and appropriately reported internally and externally.

You will also need to ensure escalation of claims to Senior Management that fall within the escalation criteria, liaise with senior external and internal stakeholders, process financial reconciliation and provide claims portfolio reports/feedback.

You will need to be a very competent and experienced Claims Handler and capable of regularly dealing with highly complex and contentious claims.

What you’ll need to succeed

In order to succeed in your new role you will need in depth Lloyd’s Professional Risk Insurance experience specifically within Professional Indemnity, Management Liability, Employers Liability as well as some Medmal and Cyber and you must be a very well organised and a very effective communicator in both written and verbal format. You will need to have an in depth understanding of the London market and be capable of working on Binder Claims

Outside of this you may need to travel when necessary and you will need to the available to provide more technical support to your more junior members of the team and you will need to be confident in regularly liaising with Underwriters, Cover holders and policy holders on multiple specific claims issues whilst being able to meet tight deadlines as well as being able to travel into Chelmsford.
