Principal Engineer – Product Security

Principal Security Engineer is currently being hired by a global organisation based in Princeton, NJ. You will have the opportunity to work on complex Application Security work across multiple product lines.

About the Principal Security Engineer role

You will be joining a global team of 25 Product Security engineers to help with building, maintaining secure products within the organisation. The environment is an agile environment so you should be comfortable operating in a similar environment. The opportunity would allow you to share your expertise in Product Security engineering by acting as a lead on projects. You will have exposure to AWS & GCP in this environment so similar previous experience woul be appreciated although Azure skills will be easily transferable.

This role will require that you interact with the wide cybersecurity team as well as the broader technology team to ensure that security is at the forefront of decision making when building new products (which will be a combination of customer projects and internal applications)

While you will join as 1 of the most senior members of the team, this role will allow you focus primarily on delivery of engineering work rather than having to manage team members although there may be scope to grow into a people leadership role down the line if that interests you.

Skills & experience required for the Principal Security Engineer role

• 5yrs+ hands on experience of Product Security in a multi-geography organization
• Background in software development/software engineering
• Experience of building innovative Product Security solutions to preventively deal with security issues
• Ability to interact with broader technical and business community to build products that meet their requirements whilst ensuring security is at the forefront of decision making
