Your new job working as a Professional indemnity Account Handler, will be working for an established Lloyd’s independent broker. Your new Lloyd’s Brokers have been established over 50 years and specialise in providing Integrity and Professionalism to all their clients. They employ over 200 people based in offices across London, Watford, and the Southeast. Due to expansion in their London PI department a position for a Professional indemnity Technician/ Account Handler has arisen. Your new role Your new role working as a professional indemnity Technician / Account handler means you will be responsible for setting up new policies, administer existing policies and create excel spreadsheets for renewal lists. You will obtain quotations for Professional Risk Insurances: Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers, Cyber, Management Liability etc as well as liaise with the company’s underwriting business to help the team assess joint cross selling opportunities. This role will also requires effective administrative support to the Professional Indemnity team. You will maintain a highly accurate system of prospective customers, files, and data. Responsible for preparing allocated Lloyd’s Slips for Broker and PPL closing. Other duties will include assisting the team in obtaining quotations, dealing with presentations, obtaining renewal data and terms to maximise new Brokers and existing Broker retention, as well as maximising new and renewal business. What you will need to succeed Your previous experience working within a broker or insurer in a technical capacity, where you have had to support directors with technical and administration will contribute to the success in securing this role. Ideally, basic Insurance knowledge preferably in Professional Indemnity Insurance is preferred but not essential. You will have excellent spoken and written communication skills. You will have strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the drive and motivation, for meeting targets. Good PC and keyboard skills especially in EXCEL.
