Police Scotland Digital Division is embarking on an ambitious programme to implement a range of ‘enabling’ technologies in support of operational policing. We are looking to recruit a Performance Officer to support the delivery of a range of innovative developments, including National Integrated Command and Control System and the migration to the new Emergencies Services Network.

You will be valued for your contribution in terms of supporting the implementation of our ICT Strategy and Performance Management framework. You will play a pivotal role in developing our performance reporting framework, ensuring robust performance information that supports our commitment to continuous improvement and strong governance. 

This will be a critical role in supporting the development and progress reporting of the ICT elements associated with the Police Scotland Corporate Plan.You will work in harmony with the organisational goals, relevant legislation and ICT strategies under the direction of the ICT Lifetime Process Manager and Chief Technology Officer.

As a successful Performance Officer you will be educated to HND/Degree level in an IT related subject. In the absence of required qualification, you must have a minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in performance, risk or project management and are required to have previous exposure to improving and maintaining balanced scorecards from a perspective relevant to the role as detailed on the Role Profile 

Additionally, you will have experience of managing internal/external stakeholders and possess excellent communication and planning skills, as well as experience of continuous improvement methodologies, tools and techniques.  You will require to have significant proven experience in a similar role within an ICT function.

This full time post is permanent and will require Management Vetting and Security Clearance. You will work 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. The job can be based at any of our offices throughout Scotland – See below
