Palo Alto Firewall Engineer

6-month contract (within scope of IR35), Hybrid working pattern (2 days per week in office)

Hays Technology are working in partnership with a large Education establishment in Birmingham City Centre to recruit a Palo Alto Firewall Engineer on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be working within a large and established technology team to help support on a key Cyber Security project.

In order to apply you must have the following experience:

• Previous experience implementing network security platforms and monitoring tools.
• Previous experience as a Palo Alto specialist.
• Able to demonstrate good experience in trouble shooting.
• Able to audit firewalls and make firewall rule changes.
• Cyber essentials experience and knowledge.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to deliver knowledge transfer.
• Able to develop firewall standards – desirable.
