At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for multiple worldwide customers. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have exciting positions available right now, including an NPI Manager in our Seating business located in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.
The NPI manager will be responsible for leading a cross functional team in the development and industrialisation of new seating products as well as customer Head of version for existing platforms.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday. The post holder may be required at times to work outside his/her normal working hours for the effective performance of the duties of the post

  • Responsible for the health and safety of the team and department
  • Provide leadership and direction to a cross functional team in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Develop the team and individuals’ skills to support the business goals
  • Manage performance using the Company’s tools and systems
  • Manage and allocate resources
  • Identify training needs and implement training plan to ensure team can support the needs of the business
  • Interact with all other functions at the site and support product transition to daily operations i.e Walk About Reviews
  • Develop KPI’s and the necessary governance system to ensure delivery of Company and department goals
  • Support the development of annual department goals and generate implementation plans to deliver against agreed targets
  • Lead operational product development in line with NPI process and AS9145, mitigating risks to ensure deliver per requirements
  • Support and lead implementation of 5S, process improvement, Lean and Problem Solving within the department
  • Support operations development of Lean manufacturing processes
  • Implement technology advances in line with new product requirements (I4.0, engineering services role)
  • Develop & innovate engineering processes
  • Planning for future requirements within team / department

Please note the below criteria are the requirements for the role. You must clearly outline in your CV how you meet the below criteria:


  • Minimum 3rd level qualification (HND or above) in a related Engineering or Technical (typically within Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics STEM) discipline with a minimum of 5 years working experience in an operational manufacturing environment


  • Minimum 3rd level qualification (HND or above) in a Business / Project Management discipline with a minimum of 5 years working experience in an operational manufacturing environment


  • 7+ years working experience in a comparable people management role in an operational manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years working experience working in a comparable people management role


  • Implementation of AS9145
  • Lean and problem solving skills
  • Relevant management training
  • Working experience of New Product Introduction
  • Working experience within the Aerospace industry
