L1 Security Services Analyst (Remote Cyber Security)

Your new company
You will be joining a growing global organisation that recognises Northern Ireland as a booming cyber hub and wants to grow their SOC team by bringing on board a new L2 SOC engineer. This company is expanding rapidly while also keeping a profitable business! They have a large SOC team that works remotely but have the option to visit their stunning Belfast based office (even if it is just for the odd staff day out). The company has gone from strength to strength, acquiring 3 businesses in the past 12 months, working across several areas of the cyber sphere.

Your new role
In this role you will be responsible for the sourcing, configuration and tuning of industry leading SIEMs, ensuring that the correct and most pressing incidents are alerted to the company’s 24x7x365 SOC team. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that incidents are prioritised and monitored based on the clients needs. This role will see you operate in a team of SME’s for Vulnerability, Patch and Endpoint Management.

What you’ll need to succeed
This is a role that requires around 2 years experience of working within the field of Cyber Security. You will preferably have worked within a SOC environment or worked with a SIEM in a previous organisation. To be successful for this role, you will have a broad understanding of a number of areas; Networking concepts and protocols, Operating System fundamentals and fundamental cyber security concepts, such as attack vectors and vulnerability management.
