Summary of Role:
An exciting opportunity had arisen within Raytheon UK for a HW Design Engineer to join our Air Traffic Management (ATMS) business, working across a range of programmes and R&D studies, developing HW capabilities within the Global Sensors engineering team as a key enabler to the growth of the business.The role will be based at Raytheon’s Harlow facility and will report to the Product Design authority.Working primarily within the Global Sensors business you will be joining an established development team working on a range of products in a technically challenging field.The role will not be limited to Circuit Design and Schematic capture and will require experience in a wider product level design including board layout, manufacture and integration.You will be responsible for the end to end delivery of your design.
Design of analogue and digital circuits.To take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the hardware and provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers. Documentation of design specifications and implementation details. Take part in design reviews. Upholding of hardware design standards and methodologies. Realisation of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions. Responsibility for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding/appreciation of system level items. Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc. Development of appropriate test hardware and procedures to prove the correct operation of hardware. Provide support to manufacturing answering product queries & resolving technical issues. Provide support for the hardware and manage component obsolescence throughout its lifecycle.
