Collins Aerospace Systems, part of Raytheon Technologies, is on the lookout for an Engineering Project Lead to join the team in Leighton Buzzard.

Your Responsibilities

  • Accountable for engineering deliverables throughout the project
  • Management of Earned Value CPI, for Engineering hours, resource and SPI for task completion.
  • Create & Control the engineering portion of the project charter scope from project award to end of program.
  • Monitor IPT Engineering performance, delivery and quality and report where appropriate.
  • Produce and maintain IPT Engineering KPIs and input into program KPIs.
  • To apply process and procedures in line with signatory delegation
  • Improvement & support of processes and continuous improvement activities which support Engineering deliverables.

Experience and Skills

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Good understanding of mechanical/ aerospace engineering principles
  • Good understanding of Product Design within an Aerospace environment including aspects such as structured Design Reviews, Certification, Requirements and Configuration Management etc
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD packages with the ability to interrogate designs through the use of 3D models
  • Experience in delivery of Engineering Work Packages showing at least some degree of technical leadership
  • Experience in the design of Products used in Aircraft Interiors is desirable
