You will be working for a leading public sector organisation on site in Carmarthen, West Wales.

Your new role

Build and install PCs, telephone systems, wireless networks and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile/smart phones) related to desktop infrastructure, in accordance with department standards. Provides advice and guidance to colleagues regarding incidents.

What you’ll need to succeed

A good general knowledge of ICT technologies in the following areas is required:

  • Network (LANs and Wireless)
  • Systems & Services (File & Print, E-mail, SQL Databases, Active Directory, Application Servers)
  • Cyber Security Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies and software (such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016/2019 and Microsoft Office 365) is also required and exposure to Medical Imaging technologies would be advantageous.

A candidate with knowledge of desktop hardware and printer repair would be valued and in addition exposure to ITIL processes associated with Incident, Problem and Change Management. A customer service facing person is required with a practical approach to problem solving with excellent communication and telephone skills.
