An opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience to join a well established business, and play a key part in a small team. Designing products from small intricate precision machined piece parts to fully assembled and fabricated spray lances.
Creation of new designs and altering of current designs utilising Solidworks
Building of production packets within SAP e.g Material Masters, Bills of Material, job cards and associated manufacturing steps etc.
Interaction between other Business functions and the Engineering Department when discussing designs
Potential visits to customers and/or suppliers
Daily use of O365 suite of tools
Competent and demonstratable use of Solidworks for designing of precision machined parts
Creation of Bills of Materials for designs
Previous experience in using ERP systems e.g SAP
Precision machining background
The successful candidate will have a comprehensive range of skills or potential including:
Possess excellent communications skills with colleagues at all levels of the business
Good Presentation skills to support promoting thoughts and ideas in the best possible manner to other business functions
Artistic flair for potential new designs
Good team player, willing to learn new process but also willing to share previous experiences to improve areas.

- Minimum of HNC/HND in Mechanical / Production Engineering
- Minimum of 2 or 3 years within a precision manufacturing environment
