Cloud Solution Designer – Salary up to £60,000.
Our Data Analytics Platform Design team is currently recruiting for a Cloud Solution Designer to be a part of their innovative and tech focus team to support on a variety of exciting IT development projects. The role is Bristol based and whilst support a hybrid working model you would be expected to attend at least 2 days per week.
A bit about the job:
The Cloud Solution Designer is responsible for translating our functional designs into cloud technology specifications and cloud infrastructure designs. You will support our definition of technology usage patterns for cloud-based technologies and will define and specify the technologies required to meet functional and non-functional requirements. You will be a key interface between our established platform design team, and our colleagues in the cloud infrastructure team.
- You will investigate technology implementation and configuration options.
- You will collaborate with relevant IT areas to ensure cloud technologies are working appropriately.
- You will be working with existing technology selections but will have the opportunity to support and influence our ongoing evolution of approved technologies. As we transform our technology landscape, you will play a key role in helping Aviva to realise our aspirations to implement cloud-based solutions.
- Responsible for influencing projects at the design stage, through to implementation. Responsible for ensuring cloud solutions are appropriately specified for successful configuration.
- You will translate functional and non-functional requirements into technology designs.
- You will be responsible for the drive the definition of the Life Data & MI Target Cloud-based Infrastructure.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- You will be a certified AWS solution architect at either associate or Professional level.
- You will have shown practical exposure to cloud technologies, and experience of specifying how these are implemented.
- You will have extensive experience designing and implementing successful data strategies and architectures in complex, secure environments.
- You’ll have in-depth and proven knowledge of data management and architecture techniques.
- You will have experience implementing data use in financial services environments.

- Salary up to £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
