We need skilled, enthusiastic and motivated people at all experience levels from graduate to CTO to deliver these exciting new capabilities. There are opportunities in all relevant engineering and non-engineering disciplines, both for those with space industry experience and those without.

Many roles come with opportunities for remote / hybrid working, working in our offices in Guildford and Great Baddow only when required.

We will provide you with personal development, CPD including support towards professional recognition, industry-leading benefits, and the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technology to interesting problems with the support of our highly-skilled engineering community.

Come and join us for this exciting opportunity to shape and deliver world-class space technologies.

What you will be doing (role duties and responsibilities)

Working as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team, you will use your Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) knowledge and experience to lead the build and test of complex space communications and sensing payloads, incorporating cutting-edge electronics, hardware and software, in a fast paced low volume pre-production environment. In addition, you will lead the build and test of the associated ground systems and test support systems. You will both work hands-on and provide technical oversight to technicians and engineers.

You will work in collaboration with and with close support from lead engineers and subject matter experts. You will select appropriate techniques, procedures and methods to write test plans, procedures and scripts. You will define the tailoring of our established Automated Test Equipment (ATE) capabilities to create the right test environments.

Your work will be instrumental in developing and growing the space payload AIT capability in BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
