Training Equipment Administrator


Summary of Role:

The Selborne Training Equipment Administrator is responsible to the Training Equipment Support Manager for the
high-quality administrative training support for training equipment in line with Company standards and contractual requirements to
support the delivery of Naval Training within the Selborne contract.

Main Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to Training Equipment Support Team which are responsible for a wide and diverse range of Naval Training Equipment including several IT systems and supported AV, are correctly maintained and repaired to enable Selborne contract performance standards to be met and the delivery of Naval Training is maintained.
  • Administrative custody of Issued Property and Training Equipment to include receipt of equipment, barcoding, registering into database (currently TABS), raising necessary paperwork for issue and disposal.
  • Regular stocktaking of Issued Property and Training Equipment to provide quarterly returns of all asset movements.
  • Investigation of missing assets.
  • Production of lists to the required standard and format into spreadsheets from database.
  • Maintaining accurate records to an auditable standard.
  • Data Analysis.
  • Maintaining records in the database to ensure data is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with raising Statement of Need (Material Requests) paperwork.
  • Provide support to the Training Equipment Manager with materials budget control, database record maintenance and improvements, and the maintain Process Control Documents
  • Provide support to the Training Equipment IS Manager, with purchasing tasks, the maintenance of system accreditation and software licence management records.
  • Assist contract staff with the application of change management processes.
  • Be available to travel to other sites as required
  • Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are always implemented and complied with for all employees and trainees.
  • To carry out any reasonable task as directed by the Training Equipment Manager which may occasionally arise.

Candidate Requirements:


  • Applying complex formulas and macros to Excel spreadsheets.
  • Formatting complex word documents and creating forms in Word.
  • Administrative duties.
  • Asset Management.


  • Asset Management in a MoD Environment
  • Capable of achieving Security Clearance (SC)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
